Cyril & Didier's Paris in New Haven

I've sad it before but I'll say it again. J'adore les mariages photographier. I love photographing weddings!

These two wonderful men celebrated their marriage together on September 21, 2013 with their daughter Emilie and small gathering of close friends. Many whom traveled from France to share their love and support for the couple.

The day couldn't have gone any smoother. Even with friends crowding their small apartment the excitement was high and the french was flowing. I have to admit I know very little french but I was still just smiling from ear to ear with the little bit I could pick out. I felt right at home with Cyril, Didier, Emilie and their friends. It was truly a beautiful day to be a wedding photographer.

Every part of the day was filled with details to make their wedding unique to them from the colors of their shirts and Didier's shoes, purple, Emilie's favorite color, to the Parisian style table settings that decorated the restaurant.

What a treat to be able to photograph in the beautiful Roia Restaurant in Downtown New Haven. They did such a lovely job decorating and accommodating the group. I can't wait to go there myself for dinner.

FĂ©licitations pour de nombreuses annĂ©es plus merveilleux ensemble.

Rain Rain go away come again on my wedding day

Sure no one wants it to rain on there wedding day, especially the photographer. But, when it comes to mother nature, do we really have a say? So don't freak out. There are plenty of fun ways to make the drizzle sizzle in your wedding day portrait.

Let loose and work the rain by picking up some fun rain boots to go with your dress, like these found at Zappos. There's even White Metallic rain boots to go with your dress. Grab a pair for all your brides maids. How about little rain coats for those cute flower girls. Who doesn't love to twirl in the rain as a kid. Soft white umbrellas will do the trick for those formal portrait. Or want to go classic? Use a large back umbrella. Looking for some more fun?  Pick out bright colored umbrellas that fit your style. Check out these fun and fashionable umbrellas at Polyvore.

If you are having an outdoor wedding we can still get those outdoor portrait by working on the edge of an open tent. Feeling a little more adventurous and want to brave the rain, I'm all for it! Go have fun in the rain I'll do what I need to do to protect my camera and you do what you need to do to get that memorable image.

Laura shares some more advice on rainy day weddings. Rain is not so bad, just look on the bright side. After all rain can be a sign of good luck. Wedding Day Rain- article by Laura Firenze

So have fun on your wedding day, rain or shine it's all going to be fine. ;)

Becky & Keebs Red Rock Wedding

I admit this post is long overdue...

There once was a couple from NY, who decided to marry in Vegas. They jumped on a plane, to avoid the rain, and much fun was had by all of us?

Enough rhyming or trying to. Check out this slideshow of the wedding.

More stories, photos and maybe a rhyme or two to come.
